"What folly not to breathe the air, walk with unfaltering step in open country, find water in a flood; not to discover God, not to savour Him, not to perceive His bounty in all things!" -Jean Pierre de Caussade "contentment comes as we relish the mercies God pours out in daily life."

Good day friends.. I just would like to encourage with a simple good word. As I was listening to the prayer room of IHOP (international house of prayer.. not the pancake house) this afternoon, I was given this breath of encouragement through the worship. ---> ...all of the trials and tribulations, all of those pains and aches of daily life, all of the heartbreak, all of the tears and frustrations, everything my friends.. it's gonna be worth it all. when we see His face, when we see the face of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Healer, Friend, Savior, Redeemer, our King, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who was slain, Jesus.. our Jesus. when we see the face our of Jesus, when we look into those eyes..I believe it will all be worth it. >>>> http://www.ihopkc.org/prayerroom/ <<<<
I like to have this on in my room when I'm just hanging out in here.. it is a live stream of the 24-hour prayer room at IHOP.. take a peak .she doesn't have it all figured out. .this faith triggers the power of God. .it is a way of seeing things. .to have faith is to see everything against an infinite horizon. .when we have the eyes of faith we see a certain divine glow shimmering within the ordinary.
...this sun is about enough to make me want to walk around campus all day without shoes.. oh wait. I did that.
...just when I was in need of a new water bottle, the office of sustainability came through for me. ...thinking back on this weekend and all of the rest I was able to partake in brings me joy. ...as I was walking into Davies I ran into katie and ethan, those cutie newlywed lovebirds. what a pleasure. ...simplistic living is something I'm striving towards, and I'm looking forward to making tangible changes. ...first day of the spring/summer season to be wearing a skirt without having to wear leggings underneath! ...here's to the year long commitment that may lead to a new life style change. ...I'm really looking forward to weekly farmers market festivities, and overall summer life in eau claire. ...before class I was able to lay outside and read.. what a blessing. ...I got to sign a petition today about something that I'm passionate about, that was neat. ...thanking Jesus for the fulfillment of the law through one word: love. 1. first stop to the top of the bluffs 2. Coffee drinks from Jules.. then next door to explore the bookstore and hope for a good find (don't worry.. there were some treasures found :) 3. Then a quick stop at the co-op to grab a snack.. and right on over to the park by the river to spread out a blanket and enjoy the contentment of the weather and some good books.

John 12: 36 Well you see.. yesterday was the day to celebrate these 22 years of life I've been blessed with. I was not expecting the day to be much of anything super extravagant as tuesdays are usually my busiest, most blah days. Those friends and family of mine though.. they can make anything special.. they really can. They can take any tuesday and turn it terrific :) I have a very short list and a set of pictures (in no particular order) to display the many ways in which those near and dear loved me well on my special day. (mostly just to brag about my friends because they're really cool looking.. and the way they love people is really cool looking.) hey! how about 22 of them??
13. loving friends waiting at the cabin 14. all of the work alexi put into this darn day.. that girl :) 15. laughter laughter laughter 16. the 'peanut corner' of the cabin (ice cream toppings not friendly to all our friends) 17. music with friends 18. lots and lots of birthday hugs 19. goat impersonations 20. funny stories about momma's work day 21. another year of grace 22. perspective from lisa "I choose to celebrate this birthday, a marker that I've been granted one more year to grow wiser, to continue to learn how to live well, content and at peace with myself, others, and God."
amen.
.. breakfast at the Grand Ave Cafe is always a treat. .. little bug had her concert which kinds stinks that I couldn't go. But I'm sure she sung beautifully, as per usual. .. i get to be cozy in my bed because there is coldness outside and its leaky into our room. so under the blankets i shall stay .. reading, blogging, journaling, and home-working .. I got to make up a special song with my roomie to write in an invitation .. I'm getting reminisce on a weekend filled with : .. getting to listen to a real good mix of music on this dark evening.
.. when my momma talks to me on the phone and tells me stories about her life lately, I just enjoy that .. it was fun getting dressed up for an evening at the Viennese Ball.. even it was really only for a few hours :) .. thinking to myself that 'wow there is only 5 weeks left of school'.. that's kinda crazy .. still looking for a job and a bike and praying for peace and patience .. kari called me right out of the blue and that was so nice to hear her sweet, familiar voice and catch up .. my roommate devyn is a gem. she's going to be a beautiful bride this summer and a bangin' wife. .. it's always a treasure when I get to spend hours sharing hearts with my kindred. |
This life is not my own and so I choose to take the hand of the One who knows what lies ahead. Along the way we sing, we dance, we are learning portuguese and living in Brazil, and always gazing on beauty.^^^^
